Bordeaux Saint Emilion

These include the largest monolithic church in Europe (which dates back to end of the 11th century), the Trinity Chapel, the Hermit’s Cave, the catacombs, etc., in underground Saint-Emilion.

Once above ground again we will continue to visit the surrounding areas of Saint-Emilion and its vineyards, recognized as World Heritage. Here, among others, we will find estates such as Petrus, which produces one of the most expensive wines in the world.

Not far from this precious vineyard lie the Château Le Cheval Blanc, another world-renowned name, and the Château La Dominique, where multi-million-euro renovations were done recently to make it into one of the most modern facilities in the whole region, under the aegis of internationally-recognized architects. We will stop in one of the two and enjoy the magic of its architecture and landscapes…not to mention the excellent wines!

> Such an intense day requires a suitable conclusion. To finish appropriately, we are going to dinner at a restaurant in downtown Saint-Emilion where the chef has been awarded a Michelin star. This will give us one more reason to remember this special village forever. Return to the hotel.
